Corporate serious games: bespoke programmes and learning experiences

Narrative play for training and transformation

Tackling complex change, training your people or aligning a leadership team takes more than another slide deck. Since 2015, Arcane has been designing serious games (corporate serious games) and immersive simulators delivered in person (IRL), enhanced with digital tools. By placing learners at the heart of interactive scenarios, our concepts draw on game-based learning and gamification to deliver lasting knowledge retention and engagement levels close to 100%.

  • 200+ serious games created since 2015 for large corporates, institutions and SMEs.

  • Engagement close to 100% because our professional actors bring the characters to life.

Our bespoke design methodology

Every organisation has its own codes, its own vocabulary and its own challenges. That’s why we never drop a generic solution onto a complex brief. Our agency follows a proven 5-step learning design process to make your project a success:

01
Audit & Scoping

Upfront analysis of your challenges, with surveys or interviews among your target audience to gauge learners' starting level of knowledge.

02
Learning Game Design

Co-building the game mechanics (escape room, simulator, board game or gamified journey) around your learning objectives.

03
Prototyping & Crash-Test

A prototype built and tested in real conditions by our designers before final rollout.

04
Production & Facilitation

Materials delivered on site and sessions hosted by our professional actors.

05
Debrief & Post-Event

Learning takeaways shared and learning impact measured.

Serious games for professional training

The serious game is a powerful way to speed up skills development when built into an L&D (Learning & Development) pathway or an onboarding session. This game-based training approach drives effective learning through play , where learners put theory into practice in a safe environment, and where getting it wrong becomes a way to learn.

Whether you’re training sales teams, bringing managers up to speed or refreshing your internal training materials, our corporate games fit your learning design constraints.

Corporate serious game design: frequently asked questions

How long does it take to design a bespoke serious game?

Creating a bespoke serious game takes on average 3 to 5 months of development to cover the audit, game design, prototyping and production of the materials. For tighter deadlines, our ready-to-play themed formats (CSR, Cyber, workplace wellbeing) can be rolled out within days.

What budget should you plan for a corporate serious game?

The investment depends on how ambitious the project is. A bespoke creation starts from €8,000 (if you produce the materials yourself) or from €12,000 (full production included), and can go up to €40,000 depending on how complex the programme is. For a session based on a corporate game from our catalogue, prices start at a few thousand euros.

What's the difference between an escape room and a serious game?

An escape room is built around entertainment and team cohesion through puzzle-solving. A serious game (or learning game) uses game-based learning to meet specific learning objectives : building skills, change management or crisis management. Any serious game can borrow escape room mechanics, but its purpose remains the professional development of the learners.

How do you measure the impact of a serious game on employees?

We agree the key indicators with you upfront. As standard, we include a quiz at the end of the session to capture immediate participant feedback, and we help you put customised measurement criteria in place.
