A CSR game built around
your company’s challenges
CSR challenges are huge. Carbon neutrality by 2050, gender balance and inclusion, wellbeing and working conditions for generations with very different expectations… More than ever, companies have to rethink how they organise themselves and adapt to change. But that means engaging the whole company, and so all of its stakeholders: employees, clients, suppliers… What we’re really talking about is a group of people who need to get involved, buy in and change. Yet employees are rarely involved in their company’s CSR work: more than one company in three thinks its teams are barely engaged with CSR (between 5 and 25%). And 22% even say fewer than 5% of employees are involved, according to the findings of the 2022 CSR barometer.
It’s no small task, but there are tools to get people moving, motivate the troops and strengthen team spirit. Transformation and change are no longer optional for companies. So how do you drive a CSR approach and bring your employees, partners and clients along with a vision of responsible, sustainable business? CSR games are a fantastic way to rally everyone around that shared goal.
Why is a CSR game the ideal engagement tool?
A CSR game places every employee in a different situation, a world away from their daily routine. That apparent distance lets us explore any number of scenarios without them being pinned to real cases that might trigger defensive reactions. But there are many other reasons why CSR games are such a powerful awareness-raising tool. They bring teams together around environmental issues, corporate social responsibility and disability.
CSR games that teach
Play is in our nature. Just watch children: they learn tirelessly through play. As we grow up, we try to separate fun from serious. Yet play remains an excellent way to learn, to motivate and to work together. That's why CSR games are increasingly chosen for awareness campaigns. By building on that natural appetite, you remove the resistance a topic can provoke and spark genuine enthusiasm from the outset.
CSR games that involve everyone
A CSR game also takes a horizontal approach to getting a message across. It isn't one person passing knowledge on to others. It's the audience actively taking part, using group dynamics to uncover those messages themselves. By making people active through teamwork, we also improve how well the messages are remembered. The collective debrief at the end of the CSR game brings everyone's knowledge and interpretations back to the table, opening up new perspectives for the group as a whole. It strengthens team spirit and a sense of belonging.
CSR games that make you feel
A well-designed CSR game mixes formats to work different collective and individual intelligences (logic, orientation, visualisation…) while also engaging the senses (sight, touch…). This approach gives every participant a moment to shine. Each person can move the group forward with their own skills, which fuels team spirit and cohesion. That individual and collective recognition boosts engagement in the CSR game, and therefore in the awareness campaign. It becomes a genuine shared project for the group.
