The challenge: making IT security tangible
For HP, the goal was to train its sales teams and resellers on the most advanced information technologies, without falling back on a theoretical checklist. Faced with sophisticated attacks (ransomware, phishing, denial of service), sales teams needed to demonstrate the strength of integrated security solutions. The aim of Cyber Unlock is to move beyond basic IT hygiene towards cyber defence you actually experience, so you cananticipate threats rather than simply endure them.
Our answer: full immersion inside the IT systems
The game casts participants as targets of a live system intrusion . To outwit the hackers, players handle the hardware directly ( Zbook 15Ulaptops, Designjetprinters) and activate the built-in security features.
Real game mechanics
The experience uses genuine features such as the Privacy Shutter (physical camera cover), two-factor authentication and the use of Smart Cards / NFC.
Securing data flows
Participants learn to lock down device access through the HP Universal Print Driver to prevent any data theft.

Moving from a theoretical list to a real-life scenario guarantees maximum retention. Sales teams no longer sell hardware: they sell a resilience solution they have experienced first-hand.
