Turning the fight against discrimination into an immersive experience

How do you tackle harassment, stereotypes and inequality without putting your employees on the defensive? Preventing and fighting discrimination is a legal duty, but above all a human challenge of building social cohesion.

“Follow the Brain 3: The Stolen Past” is a serious game on discrimination designed to break the silence. Drawing on the world of the series The Mentalist, this large-scale murder mystery uses psychology and observation to uncover invisible discriminatory practices . Nobody is judged here: we investigate our own cognitive biases.

Why is play the key to addressing inequality and prejudice?

Addressing subjects such ashomophobia, racism or sexism through a top-down lecture often shuts down the prefrontal cortex (the seat of judgement and morality). To fight discrimination effectively, Arcane Experience draws on neuroscience :

Picto Enquêter

Engaging the limbic brain

Play activates the seat of our emotions. Playful engagement bypasses defence mechanisms and opens the way to genuine awareness.

Picto Histoire

Distance through storytelling

The investigation centres on the disappearance of an ancient manuscript. That step back in time is essential to examine grounds for discrimination without anyone feeling singled out.

Picto Bulle de message

Opening up the conversation

The fictional setting makes it possible to raise real situations of discrimination (hiring, physical appearance) with a rare degree of openness.

A 360° view of diversity and inclusion at work

Unlike a one-off awareness-raising session, Follow the Brain 3 takes a cross-cutting approach to the forms of discrimination prohibited by the French Criminal Code and monitored by the French Defender of Rights :

03
Racial and ethnic diversity

Taking action against racism and prejudice based on origin.

04
Disability awareness

Embracing difference and building more diverse teams.

01
Gender equality at work

Dismantling gender stereotypes and preventing sexual harassment.

02
LGBTQ+ inclusion

Tackling homophobia and promoting equal treatment whatever a person's gender identity.

Alix Becker: an ethologist’s eye on equal opportunity

In the style of the series The Mentalist, the character ofAlix Becker guides players as they decode discriminatory behaviour :

Understanding categorisation: why does our brain create stereotypes automatically?

Spotting indirect discrimination: how can neutral processes discriminate against certain groups?

Promoting equality: turning individual vigilance into a collective diversity policy .

HR compliance: a prevention programme that actually works

This serious game is a strategic tool for HR Directors and CSR leads who want to prevent discrimination in practical terms:

Training obligations: meet your training requirements for recruiters and managers on non-discrimination.

Learning ROI: an awareness booklet is given to every participant (legal framework, remedies and best practice).

Fully mobile format: we run sessions across France and Switzerland for groups of 20 to 1,000 participants.

What our clients say

Kelly C.E.N IT VENDOR MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION MANAGER - Ardian

We wanted to thank you and your team for this new live edition of the Cyber Master Game. People really took to the concept and the feedback was very positive (and not only from the winners)

We called on Arcane for our annual offsite on the theme of living and working well together. We wanted a playful session to bring our team together and shift the habits of our management team. A big thank you to Arcane for recommending this activity, which went down brilliantly!

2024 was our chance to take stock of our employees' working conditions, and the semi-customisable format won us over! It was hilarious to see one of our directors turned into a suitor for Bowser. The session really broke down professional barriers and brought everyone closer!

Great fun, people connected, and the difficulty level suited everyone.
